Hillsboro High School and Transgender Emotionalism

It is of dire necessity that Christians pull their children out of government schools. We complain about our culture, yet we continue to send our children to be trained by those whom we complain about. If these reasons are not enough, add in the ever growing homosexual agenda fed to these kids, and the reasons should be overwhelming. The basic biological line between boy and girl has been erased in the name of gender neutrality and children are taught from their beginning classes an acceptance of one’s decision to dismiss anatomy 101. Gay history, gay counselors, sexual curiosity, and gender neutral bathrooms have all be introduced to push the several decade old, well-coordinated and well-documented agenda

Just in the recent news we meet Lila Perry (born a boy and still a boy) who has decided to come out as ‘transgender’ at Hillsboro High School in St. Louis. He has demanded to be treated as a girl and given access to the bathrooms and locker rooms for girls. His actions caused a student walk-out and a spot for the world to judge in national news.

Now common sense would tell you that this child, born a boy, should not be changing with other girls in the locker room or using a female bathroom. I can see why parents are upset. Even though he had been accommodated with a unisex bathroom, it is not enough. The gay agenda will persuade the public and the powers that be, and they will do so solely with emotional driven arguments. In 2015, emotionalism trumps truth. Check out these statements (and note how these reports by default refer to him as ‘she’):

“I wasn’t hurting anyone and I didn’t want to feel segregated out. I didn’t want to be in the gender neutral bathroom. I am girl, I shouldn’t be pushed off to another bathroom,” said Perry.

“That’s really important for many people to know and parents to know, that a person does not choose this, they really don’t. They know it very early on and are in a great deal of pain,” said Patricia Berne.

Out of concern for own safety, Perry dropped out of gym class. She plans to continue to use the girl’s restroom.

And….

“I was concerned about my own safety,” she said.

The Missouri Gay-Straight Alliance Network will host a rally supporting Ms. Perry on Friday.

“I think that there are a lot of folks that don’t understand the difference between sex and gender and only see Lila as her sex at birth,” said Morgan Keenan, the group’s founding director.

And

Lila said she has dropped out of her physical education class because there is little supervision and that makes her uncomfortable. And she rarely uses the bathroom now while at school. Still, Lila said, she should be able to use the facilities girls use.

“I wasn’t hurting anyone. I didn’t want to be in something gender-neutral,” she said, referring to the faculty bathroom administrators encouraged her to use. “I am a girl. I am not going to be pushed away to another bathroom.”

Biology aside, rationality aside, the parental concern for their children aside, the media will tug at the public’s hearts and appeal to emotion, such that those who have power in our society will cry out for equality. Those students who protests along with their parents will be portrayed as out-of-date bigots, and those who support Lila will be depicted as having compassion. Eventually, the students who protested will very cunningly and gradually be convinced to accept this agenda.

Government schools are, from its inception, a socialistic, agnostic institution. There have always been countless reasons for Christian parents to choose an alternative (a biblical command I would argue), and now in 2015, there is an even greater cry to do so. We need more Christian parents to take serious the command given, to bring up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and equipping our future generations with a comprehensive Christian worldview, one that speaks the truth of God’s word to a fallen world.

17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:17-24)
