Christians, we are not deists. We have to constantly remind ourselves of this fact. God is active in and sustains his creation. We have no choice but to state that the present surfacing of the horrors of Planned Parenthood and abortion, and what has preceded and followed, is the direct hand of God. This should be obvious, however, sometimes we need to step back and see it for what it is.
Think about it: A Catholic man and his compadres created a guise and infiltrated the ranks of Planned Parenthood in what was a several year operation. Since the first video release (7/14/2015), up until this very day (8/21/2015), millions of people have had a righteous anger stirred within them that had previously been just a passive belief. It has culminated such that this coming Saturday there is a national protest planned; so far 180 cities and 43 states. People who normally would never hit the streets, are discussing which signs to make. Families that face paint their children to go to Chik-Fil-A are now painting t-shirts and protesting as a family. Well known church leaders such as John Piper are calling for Christians to participate. Governors and state and federal officials are calling for investigations and for the defunding of this egregious organization. They are defying orders from their superiors. What is happening??!!
God has determined at this time to bring his hand against this form of wickedness. Christ is, as he is reigning from heaven with all authority, putting his enemies under his feet (1 Cor. 15:25), making himself a footstool (Psalm 110:1). He has exposed our country’s leaders and their support for 42 years of mass execution of helpless babies and the trafficking of their body parts in the name of “science.” He has stirred up his church as well as the unchurched. He is active and reigns of his creation. Let us recognize this, church, and do his work as his representative on earth.
I had a relative tell me just a few weeks ago that fighting abortion is a lost cause, that the culture has too far accepted it as the norm.
Well, the tides have turned.
Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases (Psalm 115:3)
